The Joint Association for the Auxerre-Branches Airport (SMAAB) is the owning entity of the Auxerre-Branches aerodrome. It is equally composed of three local authorities: the Auxerre Urban Community, the Yonne Departmental Council, and the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté Regional Council, each holding one-third of the shares.

Through a public service delegation, renewed with EDEIS as of September 1st, 2023, for a period of 8 years and 4 months, the SMAAB entrusts the operation and day-to-day management of the airport to a specialized operator, thereby ensuring efficient and secure service for users and economic partners in the Yonne region.
